Changes to traffic management around Harbury

We sincerely apologise for issues resulting from road closures relating to the power supply for the HS2 Long Itchington Wood tunnel boring machine and the resulting impact on the local communities. We acknowledge that, in this instance, we have fallen short in providing advance warning of the decision to work on two roads at the same time.

However, we are working hard to get the B4452 between the A425 and Butt Lane back open for the local community.

Following our recent notification Ref: HS2-EW-LM-Ph1-Ar-No-N1-Traf-18-01/11/2021, on the works in our area page here , we notified the community of remedial works that need to be carried along the B4452 and B4451 between Ufton and Bishops Itchington.

Upon starting these works, we found further issues. This meant that our anticipated closure dates had to be adapted and resulted in us having to close the B4452 between the A425 and Butt Lane and the B4452 between Butt Lane and Deppers bridge concurrently for a short period of time.

The additional works has meant that the dates for subsequent road closures has changed and are now as follows:

- Ongoing to 7 February - Deppers Bridge B4452 closed between Butt Lane and Station Road.

- 8 to 10 February - Station Road B4451 closed between Deppers Bridge and Lakin Drive.

These works may be subject to further change

Access will still be maintained for households and businesses along both routes and a clearly signposted diversion will be in place. We will also ensure that all road signage reflects approved changes.

All works may be subject site and weather conditions. Dates are also subject to change.
