Today saw more projects awarded funding as part of the HS2 Community and Business Funds.

Improvements to Long Itchington Park

Long Itchington Parish Council based in Warwickshire, has received £74,500 to improve the facilities at Long Itchington Park. This will include making improvements to the children’s play area. The original play site was built 18 years ago and consists of traditional types of equipment such swings and a roundabout. The funding will pay for the refurbishment of the current equipment as well as providing new equipment for children to enjoy. In addition, the funds will be used to secure the play area with dog-proof fencing and gates, and provide a meeting place for parents and carers. Finally, the public toilets in the park will also be refurbished with disabled access and baby changing facilities also being provided.
