HS2 Community Funds award two new projects in Warwickshire

Two projects have been awarded funding in Warwickshire as part of the HS2 Community and Business Funds

Cubbington Parish Council receives £75,000

Cubbington Parish Council will use the funds to upgrade the Cubbington Recreational Ground and Asten Court Playground. The play areas and green spaces are often used by whole community, especially local families.

Eco-friendly play equipment for younger children will be installed, along with play/activity equipment for Key Stage 2 to 3 aged children. All the existing play equipment will either be replaced or refurbished.

Burton Dassett Village Hall receives £66,439

Funding will support the first of four stages of the refurbishment of Burton Dassett Village Hall . This initial stage includes demolishing the existing storeroom and replacing it with a new toilet block and lobby, increasing the footprint of the existing building. The floor in the main hall will also be replaced along with the ties in the main hall roof.
