HS2 Community Funds awarded to two new projects in Harbury

Two more projects have been awarded funding as part of the HS2 Community and Business Funds.

Harbury Village Hall awarded £75,000 for entrance and access improvements

The Harbury Village Hall project will provide improvements to the entrance porch, steps with enhanced disabled access, external lighting and a larger storage area. This work will be part of a larger programme which has already seen other renovations completed.

Harbury e-Wheels awarded £10,000 to continue providing free transport to local residents in need

The Harbury e-Wheels project provides free transport to local residents so they can attend medical appointments, courses, parent/child activities and social events. The project uses electric cars, combining social benefit with environmental benefit.This service helps to reduce social isolation for the elderly and young families.

The community and business funds are administered and managed by independent community charity, Groundwork UK. For more information on Groundwork and the funds themselves click here .
