HS2 Works Notification: Notice of utility works in Chattlehill, off Gorsey Lane & Pipeline diversion works off Church Lane, near Middleton

Cadent will be moving underground gas pipelines in the Coleshill area until late 2020, to allow for the construction of the new railway.

Cadent needs to carry out some work out at their permanent gas installation off Gorsey Lane. This is near the junction with A446 (Lichfield Road). This work will only take one day. There will be some noise, but this will be occasional, and we expect it to be low-level.

Work will take place on 26 May for one day. Our working hours will be 8.00am to 6.00pm (Mon-Fri). We will be on-site one hour either side of these times for set-up and close-down

HS2 Works Notification: pipeline diversion works off Church Lane, near Middleton

Since May 2019, Cadent has been working to move an existing pipeline near Church Lane, north east of Middleton, to facilitate HS2’s construction and to continue to ensure a safe and reliable gas supply.

We have now finished moving the pipe and have successfully carried out routine testing on the relocated pipeline. We’re currently reinstating our working area and site access to replace topsoil and vegetation that we had to remove to carry out the diversion. The compound and car park area will remain in place as it will be used by other HS2 works in the future.

Cadent expect that all their work at this site will be completed by the end of May 2020.
