HS2 Works Notification: Notice of weekend traffic management on the A425 Leamington Road,near Dallas Burston Polo Club

Early works to construct the new railway, is carried out by a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and J. Murphy & Sons, known as LM.

LM plan to carry out some work north of Southam. The work will include hedgerow, vegetation clearance and installing fencing ahead of construction of the Long Itchington Wood Tunnel.

To ensure a safe working area we will be operating temporary traffic lights along the A425 Leamington Road, near Dallas Burston Polo Club.

These traffic signals will be operational on Saturday 11th April between 8:00 am and 13:00 pm . Our teams will be on site one hour before and one hour after the works to set up and secure the site at the end of each day.

Access to properties will be maintained throughout the works. If required a Traffic Marshall will escort pedestrians safely through the work area. You can view a copy of the works notification traffic management on A425 .

HS2 Works Notification: Notice of Balfour Beatty Vinci working off the Welsh Road, near Ufton

From Early April, Balfour Beatty Vinci, (BBV) will be working in an area already occupied by the early works contractor LM, off the Welsh Road. BBV are responsible for the construction of the Long Itchington Wood Tunnel and their works relate to this work.

The work’s BBV will be completing will enable the tunnel boring machine to start in line with the construction programme. To help our construction teams deliver these works on time, extended working hours has been applied for and approved.

The extended working hours will begin week commencing 13 April and run through to July 2020. In April the working hours will be 8:00 am – 19:00 pm. In May, June & July the working hours will be 8:00 am – 20:00 pm. BBV are extending their working hours to make use of the seasonally adjusted daylight hours.

As a result of these extended hours, you may experience an increase in construction traffic to and from the work site. You may also hear low level noise from construction machinery.
