News on HS2 in Warwickshire

Early works for HS2 are underway in your area, carried out by LM – a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and J. Murphy & Sons.

LM is at work on Ridgeway Lane to build a temporary construction route (known as a ‘haul road’) needed for future work on HS2.

You may see vehicles, machinery and people in the area to bring in the materials needed to build the 1.7 km haul road. The road will be asphalt near properties, and a stone road in other sections away from properties.

To ensure the safety of all road users in the area, temporary three-way traffic lights will be installed at the junction of Ridgeway Lane and A452 Ufton Hill, from Monday 23 March 2020. The lights are due to be on the road from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday, for around two weeks.

LM, the contractor carrying out early works in Warwickshire has produced a leaflet to update the public on upcoming works near public rights of way, footpaths, bridleways and cycleways. The leaflet includes information on works planned or currently underway in Ridgeway Lane, Burton Green, Crackley, Cubbington and Offchurch.
