News on HS2 in Warwickshire

Our early works are underway in your area, carried out by our construction partner LM – a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and J. Murphy & Sons.

LM is preparing a section of the Kenilworth Greenway for HS2 construction. They are now working between the Berkswell Station area and Burton Green until early 2021.

LM will be setting up work sites, clearing the route of HS2, diverting the Greenway and diverting local paths. From early next year Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV), the main works contractor, will start building the railway in this area.

In the meantime, until the temporary Greenway opens later this year, we’ve created new footpath connections and improved existing paths in the area to help people keep moving around the closed section of the Greenway. We’ve also installed signs on public rights of way around the Greenway to help people understand alternative routes.
