Onboard with local business

Find out if your business could benefit by getting involved in HS2, and find out more about support available from local business organisations in your area.

Like many other projects, HS2 is currently being impacted in various ways by the ongoing Covid 19 crisis.

We are expecting that the procurement of the many goods and services we need to build the railway will ramp up in the coming weeks and months, but we also recognise that this could be a time where local business communities may need more support.

Many of the business stakeholders we work with along the line of route are already offering guidance and support, as well as help in navigating the various government schemes available to help. We have pulled together a list of where various support schemes in your area are currently running. You can follow the links below to find out more:

· Coventry and Warwickshire Growth Hub (Local Enterprise Partnership)

· Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce

Nationally, there are also resources and guidance available from the following organisations:

· UK Government

· British Chambers of Commerce

· Federation of Small Businesses

· Local Enterprise Partnerships

· Confederation of British Industry

· British Retail Consortium

· Business in the Community

· Social Enterprise UK

#OnBoard with local business

Being a good neighbour to local businesses is important to us. Your business may be able to provide some of the key services that our contractors and workers will be looking for as part of their work, and we want to make sure you know about potential opportunities to get involved in the project.

If your business is near the route of the new railway, please let our Business Engagement team know a little bit about what you do. Please register by clicking on the link below:

Tell us about your business - click here to register your business

We will use this information to keep in contact with you, and will also share the details you give us with our contracting partners, to help them understand what local resources are available.

You can also visit our website www.hs2.org.uk/local-business to find out more about getting involved in the project.
